5G Information

What is 5G?

5G is the latest generation of mobile network technology. It offers faster internet speeds, a more reliable data connection and an overall improved mobile experience. If you want to stream videos at higher resolution and enjoy better quality video calls then 5G is the network connection for you.

5G isn’t a replacement for 4G. Rather, 5G adds another layer of connectivity to the network which runs at much higher and faster frequencies. Simply put, 5G provides more capacity to keep you connected when and where you need it most. This means quicker website browsing and faster downloads, as well as better streaming and gaming experiences.

Where is 5G available?

5G is available in an ever-expanding number of locations across the UK.

To find out if 5G is available in your location, visit the EE Coverage Checker page.

To find out if 5G is available in your locations, visit the Three Coverage Checker page.

What happens with my 5G phone outside of 5G locations?

5G works as an additional layer to your network connection. In 5G zones, your device will automatically connect to the 5G network. If you leave a 5G zone, your device will automatically find the next best connection (4G, 3G, 2G) available. When you return to a 5G zone, your device will automatically connect once again to the 5G network.

What 5G phones are available?

We have a range of 5G phones available from Apple, Samsung, Google, Huawei, and more.
