E3, gaming’s largest event of the year, has traditionally been the home of console games. Nintendo, Xbox, Ubisoft and many more publisher besides wheel out their exciting new projects. Usually, the focus is on consoles. This year things are a little different. Xbox’s xCloud changes everything.

With Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5 and Psychonauts 2 all announced for this year there’s plenty to be excited about. xCloud lets mobile users play these incredible games on their phone thanks to the power of streaming. All you need is a stable internet connection and you’re good to go.

Speaking of mobile gaming, Twelve Minutes could be one of the most intriguing prospects for 2021. Starring James McAvoy and Daisy Ridley, Twelve Minutes takes you on a time-loop adventure as you manipulate events around these Hollywood stars. Each playthrough is, unsurprisingly, twelve minutes long and packed with action. It’s an interactive thriller that will be great to just dip in and out of, wherever you are.

But, if that’s less your speed, Xbox has got you covered with Hades. One of the biggest games of 2020 and long-awaited on Xboxes everywhere, Hades sees you fight your way through the Greek underworld. This rogue-light is addictive, smart and beloved to the point that people who’ve played it won’t stop telling you just how great it is.
